NCTA Teacher Portal

Welcome to the NCTA Teacher Portal. This site is an online resource of materials for teaching about East Asia and a portal where teachers can share materials and ratings/reviews of materials with one another.

The site is open to all for viewing and downloading of materials or photos. There is a library of teaching materials with ratings and reviews of those materials, culture notes, and sample lesson plans for your use. There is also a photo gallery, with photos taken in East Asia by teachers and seminar leaders. You can scroll through the study tour blogs, where there are first hand accounts by teachers about their trips to East Asia. Please feel free to make use of these resources.

Contributing to the site: NCTA alumni and current seminar participants are allowed to contribute to the site. To do this, you will need an account.

How to request an account: Request an account using the “request account” option on the left. Your request will be sent to the University of Pittsburgh NCTA office. In a few days, you will receive a reply email giving you a user name and password. PLEASE CHANGE that password to one that you can easily remember once you have successfully logged onto the site. There is an option called My Account for this purpose.

The purpose of this site is to promote collaboration and support for the teaching about East Asia among teachers like yourself. The site is constantly evolving and we welcome your feedback.
