American professionals in academic, government, and business are eligible for a one- to two-week study visit in an Arab country. The Malone Program provides an exceptionally powerful educational experience that includes introductions to host-country government officials, businessmen, academics, and scholars. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, and are responsible for their own domestic transportation to and from Washington D.C. and in some cases international travel. Some study visits may include additional fees. |

Rational: The project is designed to address a real life foreign policy dilemma looming in the Middle East: Egypt after Mubarak. This project will require students to work in teams to research focused topics addressing the range of issues which need to be considered in adjusting the US position on the impending changes in Egypt. The format of the policy scenario is designed to lend an authenticity to the assignment. |
